A hidden gem… Cripple Creek Mountain Ranch
As I mentioned, last week a friend and I visited Paso Robles. One of our favorite stops has to be Tobin James, not only because of the wine and the atmosphere, but also because of the people. While there Debbie got to speaking with a group of people next to us – Joanie, Rebecca (Joanie’s daughter), and Tuan (Rebecca’s boyfriend). Joanie is a pretty amazing woman, Rebecca is funny and beautiful and Tuan is a really nice guy with a great sense of humor! After some laughs, they invited us up to their house for dinner — WHAT AN AMAZING HOUSE! We had to stop along the way just to take pictures of the view of the Paso Robles Valley. We pulled up this beautiful house – which we later learned was Cripple Creek Mountain Ranch. While there, we had the pleasure of meeting Joanie and Rebecca’s family where we were greeted with an extraordinary amount of hospitality, tri-tip, homemade salsa and yummy garlic bread. We all sat around the kitchen getting to learn more about one another and about how the Ranch came to be. We learned that Joanie and her family make the house avaialable to guests by renting out the house and the cottage…. two residences that would be a pleasure to call home — even if for a weekend! To learn more about Cripple Creek Mountain Ranch, visit their website at www.cripplecreekmountainranch.com and send a note — tell them that Claudia and Debbie said Hi!
To Joanie and family — Thank you for sharing your home with us, you truly made us feel like family!
